This Privacy Policy explains how Channel Wise (“we”, “us”, or “the Service”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website to generate YouTube channel audit reports.

Public YouTube data

When you submit a YouTube channel URL, we use the public YouTube Data API to retrieve publicly available channel information, video metadata, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, publication dates, view counts, and other public statistics needed to generate your report. This information is already publicly available on YouTube.

Private YouTube analytics data (optional and with your consent)

If you sign in with Google to unlock private analytics for a channel you own or manage, we request read-only access to your YouTube Analytics data. We use this access only to retrieve aggregate performance metrics needed to generate and display your report, such as views, watch time, impressions, click-through rate, audience retention, traffic sources, and similar analytics metrics, depending on the permissions you grant.

OAuth tokens

When you connect your Google account, we may receive OAuth access tokens and, where necessary, refresh tokens. These tokens are used only to access YouTube Analytics data for the features you request. We store tokens securely where needed to provide the Service and do not sell or share OAuth tokens with third parties. You can revoke our access at any time through your Google Account security settings.

Email addresses

If you submit your email through an early-access, report, feedback, or contact form, we store it solely to follow up with you about the Service, respond to your inquiry, or provide requested updates.

Usage analytics and cookies

We may use Google Analytics and similar tools to understand how visitors use the website, such as pages viewed, referrers, approximate location, device type, browser type, and interactions with the website. Where required, analytics cookies or similar technologies are used only with your consent. You can reject or withdraw consent for non-essential analytics cookies through our cookie banner or browser settings.

To produce written recommendations, we may send computed metrics and summarized channel information to a third-party language model provider. These inputs may include public channel information, public video statistics, and, if you connect private analytics, aggregate analytics metrics needed to generate the report.

We do not send OAuth tokens, raw video files, Google account passwords, or unnecessary personal information to the AI provider. We use AI processing only to generate the report and recommendations requested through the Service.

Generated reports are accessible through a private, time-limited link. Anyone with the private report link may be able to view the report until the link expires or is deleted.

Cached report data, analytics data, and OAuth tokens are retained only as long as necessary to provide the Service, maintain the active session, refresh the requested report, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your email address, generated reports, cached data, or stored OAuth tokens at any time by contacting us at the address below.

The Service uses YouTube API Services. By using features that access YouTube data, you acknowledge that your use is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

If you connect your Google account, you can revoke the Service’s access at any time through your Google Account security settings.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features that are visible in the Service, such as generating and displaying YouTube channel audit reports. We do not use Google user data for unrelated advertising, sell Google user data, or transfer Google user data except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with law, or as otherwise permitted by Google’s policies.
